Met a friend
An old old friend
Don't know if he saw me
But I sure saw him

I was hanging out with others
He was all alone
Something snapped inside of me
Made me feel alone

Felt sorry for my old friend
Tried to talk to him again
That didn't work out at all
Our past was gone after all

He is still alone
He is still sad
I cant feel happy
When he feels bad

Now I'm writing this
Why ain't I helping?
Seems that I'm afraid
Of being rejected again

The brave stranger
Or someone I knew
Help my old friend
I'll try to help too
